When your attention needs a room
Designing a little friction around your phone can be more useful than relying on willpower.
Digital wellbeing is less about being “good” at resisting your phone and more about changing the environment around a habit.
Move the decision upstream
Charge devices outside the bedroom, remove one especially noisy notification, or make a small screen-free surface in your home. The best change is the one you can keep without a daily debate.
Keep the experiment reversible. Pay attention to what you gain, not only what you give up.
